SharePoint Fest Seattle Recap | August Good Bits

Coming off a packed week at SharePoint Fest Seattle as a Silver Sponsor, Bitwise team has some useful takeaways based on all the great conversations we had with folks at our booth. The most common discussion we had with attendees went along the lines of “we have all these tremendous capabilities with SharePoint, but convincing stakeholders on the value and driving adoption is a challenge.”

At the event, we were able to share how we help SharePoint champions build stakeholder buy-in by identifying business processes that can easily be adapted to automated workflows to show quick wins. We look at automation of business processes from a paradigm shift perspective, in which we develop solutions to assign responsibilities to the right roles and/or system instead of the requestor.

Another area top of mind for many attendees was moving out of SharePoint 2010 before extended support ends in October 2020. At the event we were able to showcase our ‘Direct to Office 365 Upgrade’ service using automation to migrate from any previous version to SharePoint 2019 or Office 365.
